Doral's Great White Course
In 2000, Greg Norman, a three-time winner at Doral, designed this innovative course, which is the only "desert-scape" golf course of its kind in the Southeastern United States. This desert-style layout blends strategically demanding fairways with thousands of palm trees and sporadic Scottish-style pot bunkers. Water is a factor on 14 of 18 holes on the Great White Course, which was host to the PGA TOUR’s Franklin Templeton “Shoot-Out” in 2000, and was rated as the best new golf course of 2000 by the National Golf Foundation.
