San Ignacio Golf Club is immediately adjacent to the Inn at San Ignacio just twenty minutes south of Tucson. At an elevation of 3,000 feet, it offers cooler temperatures in the mid-summer than other Tucson courses. This par 71 course, built in 1989, boasts some gorgeous views of Elephant Butte and the Santa Rita Mountains. Designed by Arthur Hills, this course measures more than 6700 yards from the professional tees. With Bermuda fairways, Penncross bent-grass greens, four lakes, and numerous small mounds, the course provides challenges for players of all levels. One outstanding feature is the visibility from tee to green. Golfers see everything they must encounter before they swing the driver. The signature number 13th hole is a double-dogleg 522-yard, par five with elevated tees and a double lake along the left side. San Ignacio is the site of extensive practice facilities and offers world famous John Jacobs Golf Schools throughout the year.
